Wanda’s evolution
beyond science and into the world of business started with forming her own
consulting company in 2007-2008. During
this time she worked with a nanotechnology startup company in

in chemistry, optical sensors, biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals and
horticulture and was awarded a National
Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship. Her work at the National
Institutes of Standards and Technology on chaperone proteins transitioned her into the biotechnology field. Subsequently, she worked for four years investigating the stability of monoclonal antibodies at the National Cancer Institute. In 2007 she became
interested in sustainability while developing green tests for plants and succeeded in finding a more environmentally friendly assay.
Her interest in
green technology has led to pursuing an MBA from DePaul in addition to her Ph.D. in
chemistry from
